The Samodhi Chaithya is a pristine, bell-shaped Buddhist stupa located near the Colombo Harbour, roughly 07 minutes away from Granbell Hotel. The stupa is perched on two interlocking arches, which was built to be visible to sailors approaching the Port of Colombo.
The stupa and its structure stands at a height of 261 feet (80 metres). The access tower sits next to the stupa which is 11 stories high. The tower is connected to the stupa by a metal walkway, so visitors can climb 258 steps to reach the top and admire the beautiful views of the city from a different vantage point!
